A good chunk of the power creep comes from equipment which will be constantly updated as the game progresses. Just make it a point to have two 5*'s to start with anyway to avoid as much luck as you can.It's extremely playable f2p. Speaking of which, most of the 5*'s will be fine if you get them as 4* first, since they are always pullable, it's only a matter of time until you get them their fifth star for free while trying to pull for Wrath or something, so don't be too bummed if you get a 4.5 star or two. The general pool will always be there, so getting three or more 5*s isn't crucial in the long term, but it's better to be safe then sorry when it comes to getting a good start so you can save all your Rubies for whatever banners in the future you want, like Heathcote, or Cyrus, or H'aanit, or the Nier Automata or Triangle Strategy or Bravely Default colabs down the line. Reset immediately if you get Gilderoy, Scarecrow or Millard at the start, maybe even Sofia, as you wanna be sure you have as much of a shot at getting two of the best 5* options as you can. I would personally suggest if nothing else, to try for Viola and Lynette as an ultimate goal, but settle for any two of the top four if you get them.
Ultimately, you have 16 pulls out the gate to get another 5*, or if you are really lucky, two 5*'s. You do your thing, you get to the tavern of the master's city you picked, and you get three free 3* units that are the same every time.Īfterwards, you get 388 rubies for free (and can get 5 more easy by checking beginner hints) and three single pull "Sacred Seals."
